Job Duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of a variety of plumbing systems.
• Install, repair and maintain commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
• Select the type and size of pipe required and measure, cut, thread, bend, clamp, solvent cement or solder pipe
• Assemble and install valves and fittings
• Join pipe sections and secure them in position
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Install sinks, tubs, and toilets
• Install underground storm sanitary and water piping systems
• Communicate job status, including changes, additions and damages
• Follow all company policies and procedures including our Plumbing Health and Safety program
• Required to complete Field Level Hazard Assessments regularly and correctly
• Responsible for reporting any unsafe work practices to Supervisor
• Responsible for mentoring and training apprentices
• Responsible for completing all required administration for the job on a tablet

• Complete all calls efficiently, troubleshoot malfunctions and educate customers
• Show yourself as a knowledgeable professional when providing options on repair and replacement

• Be accurate time cards and accurate reporting of work performed

• Must have own tools and equipment
• Ability to work on-call for emergencies
• Valid WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Aerial Work Platform, and Confined Space certifications an asset
