Are you passionate about creating inclusive committees? Do you have the skills that can help guide us such as expertise in housing, transportation, board governance or community development? Would you like to be an enthusiastic advocate for vulnerable people?

Join us in working toward a better future for development services in the Niagara Region.

At Community Living – Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln we provide services and support to both children and adults living with a developmental disability and their families. Services include group living 24-hour homes, supported independent living options, employment support, community participation programs, family support, recreation and leisure activities and respite.

As a volunteer board member, your insights and leadership will help guide strategic decisions, ensure financial sustainability and advocate for inclusive services that empower individuals with developmental disabilities.

We are currently searching for 2 new volunteer board members to join our dynamic team!

Requirements:

• Actively participate in monthly meetings (10 times a year) on the 4^th Monday of each month, held in the evenings from 5:30pm-7:00pm
• Set and support the vision, mission, and strategic plan
• Contribute in a meaningful way to Board discussions, activities, and subcommittees
• Commit to a 3-year term (can be renewed twice)
• Live or work in the Niagara Region
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be committed to the values of Community Living – Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln
• Be committed to act in the best interests of all people served by CL – GLWL
• Provide a Broad Police record check (will be reimbursed)
