We are a locally owned and operated electrical contracting company committed to quality workmanship, reliability, and safety. We specialize in commercial and residential projects throughout Calgary and the surrounding area. As our team continues to grow, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Hand Electrician to help guide our crews and support the Foreman in daily operations.
As the Lead Hand Electrician, you will work closely with the Foreman to oversee site operations, coordinate tasks, and lead a team of electricians and apprentices. You will play a key role in maintaining productivity, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and delivering high-quality electrical installations on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Foreman with job planning, scheduling, and purchasing materials
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and hands-on support to electricians
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical code specifications
- Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies
- Maintain clear communication with project managers and site supervisors
- Report progress, issues, and material needs to the Foreman regularly
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Electrician certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the electrical trade
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is an asset
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
