We are growing our Research & Development team and looking for a Fabrication Manager to help us bring innovative new equipment to life. As the R&D Fabrication Manager, you’ll oversee the fabrication of machines and equipment that support both our internal production needs and external sales. You’ll lead a team of fabricators with various specialized skills and drive continuous improvement in a facility where innovation, safety, and lean practices go hand in hand.
What You’ll Do in the Role:
- Lead, train, and support a team of skilled fabricators working on prototypes and new production machinery
- Oversee fabrication schedules, workflow planning, and material coordination using lean principles
- Collaborate with engineering to bring machine designs to life—on time, on budget, and to spec
- Manage fabrication inventory and maintain detailed records for production projects
- Contribute to long-term capacity planning, budgeting, and strategy development for fabrication operations
- Occasionally travel to support installations or upgrades at off-site locations

What We’re Looking For:
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing skilled trades or fabrication teams
- Background in metal fabrication, machining, or industrial manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Familiar with lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, pull systems, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for off-site work as needed
- Experience in new product or machine development
