
Lead Quality Engineer

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for an experienced, full-time Lead Quality Engineer who will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality standards, certifications, and best practices for all plant operations.

COMPETENCIES
- An engineering degree from a recognized university is preferred. Preferably mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar production role within an automated, high-volume manufacturing environment,
- Must have a good mechanical aptitude and be detail-oriented,
- Must have experience developing best quality practices, analyzing quality testing/inspection data, and developing test procedures,
- Proven proficiency with computers and statistical software packages,
- Able to work efficiently both independently and as a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify root cause inefficiencies within plant processes, using continuous improvement methodology (DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
- Perform work and quality practices as per Standardized Work Instructions
- Develop product-specific quality standards/Manage Certifications and Compliance
- Develop and implement QMS, document practices/process flows
- Develop and implement quality best practices and procedures (ISO 9001 compliance - Acquire certification within defined timeline)
- Develop SOPs to be posted and used on the production floor, standardize changes, and ensure consistency in implementation across plants
- Conduct equipment trials, collect and analyze data, generate reports summarizing the results of the trials to improve overall cost savings
- Support training of new staff, audit existing work instructions, and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives/projects,
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management
