Description
Provide all electrical aspects of boilers and auxiliary equipment in our manufacturing processes. 40 hour work week with a 3 month probationary period.
Monday – Thursday
6:30am – 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Panel building
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
- May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
- Wiring motors and controls,
- Performing other duties as required
- Occasional overtime (including evenings and weekends) with pay at overtime rates

Skills / Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Electrician or 4th or 5th year Apprentice;
- Industrial Electrician (442A) or
- Construction and Maintenance Electrician (309A) Trade License
- 2 – 5 years industry experience
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent preventative maintenance skills
- Able to strictly follow safety standards
- Ability to keep up with physical demands typical of an electrician’s role within a shop floor environment
- Proficiency with electrical systems and possess knowledge of some or all of the following:
- Installation of PLC controllers
- Low Voltage wiring
- Reading and understanding mechanical, electrical plans and wiring diagrams
- Documenting work and procedures
- Working knowledge of PLC system installation and design
- Working knowledge of network wiring standards and protocols
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum Grade 12 education; College Diploma (or equivalent) preferred
