Project Manager / Estimator

8 hour shift. —In office

Monday to Friday

We are a Toronto based Building Restoration / General Contracting company is seeking a motivated team player to fulfill the role of Estimator / Project Manager who will work closely with upper management, Project Managers and Estimating Department to prepare takeoffs for various industrial, commercial and, institutional restoration projects.

Tasks:

• Manage scheduling deadlines, prepare tenders, and request for proposals
• Analyze scope of work requirements for each project
• Review specifications and identify finish schedules
• Assist with preparing quantity takeoffs and costing, pricing of work and material and tender preparation
• Participate in field visits and pre-tender meetings
• Reviewing and understanding contract documents
• Collect all pertinent data and information for each job
• Preparing, issuing, receiving and reviewing supplier and subcontractor proposals and pricing
• Liaise with general contractors, project managers and suppliers
• Assist internally with the team with bid awards to confirm specifications and material quantities
• File and organize internal project documents

Requirements:

• Must be able to read and navigate through construction drawings (i.e. Architectural, Structural,)
• 3+ years background experience in construction
• Extremely detailed and highly organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer literacy including estimating software skills
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Plan Swift is a bonus
• Must have Valid G Licence and provide a Drivers Abstract.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance for Federal & Provincial Sites

Salary: $45,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
