Precision Agriculture Consultant

We are your Maritime John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you, and we are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Precision Agriculture Consultant at either our Woodstock NB or Grand Falls NB location.
Purpose:
Provide expertise at the dealership surrounding crop production systems and agronomic best practices, and build credibility with customers.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Integrated Solutions Manager in the delivery of the dealership’s John Deere Precision Ag services.
- Assist in leading the organization in the area of John Deere precision farming products and agronomic knowledge
- Ensure understanding of John Deere Precision Ag solutions in sales, service, parts, and all other departments
- Promote understanding across the dealership of the latest production practices and their overall agronomic impact
- Serve as the internal and external technical specialist for new precision farming products
- Work directly with customers to help select the best Precision Ag solution for their operation
- Remains current on production practices, latest trends, and changes in regulations.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
- 2+ years' experience in an agriculture-related role
- Dealership sales, service, integrated solutions, training, or other Precision Ag/GPS related work experience preferred
- Certified Crop Advisor Certification preferred
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Demonstrates leadership, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to store locations and customers
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or Agriculture Mechanization or equivalent experience preferred
