We are looking for an Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing business, who can provide the necessary support to our current team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Inspect all equipment coming in and leaving tool crib - monitor tool crib
- Inspecting, Diagnosing and Repairing: electrical systems, landing gear assemblies and trailer frames; hitching/coupling systems; trailer bodies; suspension systems; tires, wheels, hubs and axles; air and auxiliary systems; braking systems and hydraulic systems
- Using hand tools and various specialized diagnostic equipment to diagnose, isolate and repair
- Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
- Perform scheduled PM's
- Fleet Maintenance, Ordering, Advising on work performed, general condition and future work required
- Perform service on Heavy Equipment: Excavators, Dozers, Doosan, skid steer, backhoe, roller, Western Star, Mack, Kenworth trucks, etc.
- Reviewing work orders and discussing work to be performed with the Fleet Manager
- Accurately update information
- Complete Welding & Fabrication work
- May be required to operate a mobile service truck
Qualifications
- Heavy Duty Mechanic certification
- Reading and interpreting owner/operator/manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications
- Keeping up-to-date on technology and upgrading skills as required
- Parts charge out and parts sourcing accuracy is required
- Responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required certifications related to the trade
