Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm - overtime when available.

Job Description

Position:  Metal Fabrication Labourer

Function:  Participate in all activities as a member of the Welding and Fabrication division of the company

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets detailed work Instructions
• Use of hand tools including grinding and sanding type tools
• Use of cut-off saw for metal and aluminum.
• Cleans, QC’s and checks component parts for any defects.
• Removes metal and/or prepares materials for welding by grinding and beveling.
• Experience using a gravity fed paint gun.
• Ensures all equipment is clean and functional.
• Assists with the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment.
• Assist Welding staff on support issues related to welding.
• To take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of him/herself and of other workers present while at work
• Wearing and using personal protective equipment is required when in the workshop.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Work experience in a manufacturing environment preferably weld shop.
• Forklift License would be an asset.
• 1 to 3 years of direct related work experience.
• Fabrication detail oriented
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
