Experienced Shipper/Receiver $20-$25/hr

We are a leading supplier to the construction industry in Atlantic Canada. We are a locally owned and operated company established in 2001.  We provide equipment sales, parts, and service for a variety of equipment. Our success has been built on the exceptional product lines we represent, long-standing relationships with customers, and an effective and dedicated team.

Our new Experienced Shipper/Receiver will be a personable team player, who is self motivated, eager to learn, and be able to work on their own in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position- 40hours per week with some overtime required.

Responsibilities:

• Receiving, unpacking, and verifying the contents of incoming shipments
• Picking, packaging, and arranging for pickup of outgoing shipments
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Unloading and loading freight with a forklift
• Entering shipments and receipts into the computer
• Getting freight rates for shipments and ensuring charges are accurate
• Prioritizing tasks and self-managing time
• Working both individually and collaboratively with team members

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills, both digital and interpersonal
• The ability to multitask and to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• An aptitude for computer technology
• Experience in shipping/receiving, including forklift experience
• A Grade 12 education and a valid Class 5 license
• Relevant workplace references
