
Service Technician

We are a proven and established leader in engineering, fabrication, construction, and servicing of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry.
We are currently seeking a Service Manager to provide leadership and direction to the regional sales and service team to increase sales and expand the client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with management on customer concerns and help rectify issues
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Work with engineers to solve warranty issues
- Manage projects so that they are completed on budget and on time
- Maintain excellent documentation of mechanical services, daily labour time entry, expenses reports, parts orders, etc
- Provide direction to and work with sales team to increase sales and client base
- Direct branch lead technicians in the coordination of service activities
- Provide support to service technicians and parts staff in all aspects of natural gas compression
- Provide quoting for parts and services within the region
- Manage the Work Order process for all service activities
- Facilitate the invoicing of the regions parts and service activities
- Determine and meet all staffing requirements
- Support the companies new packages in the region
- Complete and submit, in a timely fashion, all paper work related to startups, servicing, warranty work, etc
- Generate job leads and chase service projects
- Continuously strive to reduce operating costs and improve sales potential
- Judge priorities on unit repairs in terms of down time, customer importance, potential losses, and efficient working methods
Qualifications:
- A strong background in the rotating and / or plant processing equipment field
- Familiarity with packaging, fabrication, quality control, and welding methods.
- 3 to 5 years of related sales experience in the rotating and / or plant processing equipment field.
- A thorough understanding of mechanical and process systems with a strong emphasis on modular gas compression equipment and module processing equipment.
- Knowledgeable in the principles, terminology, and applications of rotating and plant equipment and control systems.
