CNC Programmer / Machinist

We are seeking a CNC Programmer and Machinist to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with management and engineering on machining process development and feasibility review.
- Programming:
- Develop and prove out CNC programs for shop floor CNC machines (mills and lathes).
- Develop Set Up Sheets (fixturing).
- Collaborate with Tooling Coordinator to select tooling/fixture requirements per the required applications.
- Work with tooling suppliers and representatives on new innovative tooling options.
- Create solid models using Mastercam.
- Design and assist with producing fixtures in house, or outsource to selected subcontractors as needed.
- Work with Quality, Engineering, operators and machinists to resolve any issues that arise operationally, or project related.
- Provide technical skills to modify, optimize, and monitor manufacturing process within specification requirements i.e. customer requirements, achieve and improve (when applicable) cycle time and set up time, optimization of tooling speeds and feeds.
- Review daily job performance reports and address any issues that are not producing at targeted results.
- Store and manage data and documents on company network.
- Operate within the company’s existing ISO System and assist in achieving Key Performance Indicators goals.
- From time to time provide assistance with set ups.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in complex CNC machine programming. Experience should be specific to providing support and programming to shop floor machinists and operators.
- Must have experience as a Machinist.
- Full knowledge of CNC programming for mills and/or lathes
- Experience in Mastercam and Solidworks
- Proficient in the use of various measuring devices including caliper, digital indicator, micrometer, height gauge, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, charts, tables, quality documentation, and various symbols regarding tolerances, surface finishes etc.
- Proficient in GD&T and practical application of GD&T
- Strong ability to collaborate with other team members and management
- Ability to effectively communicate on both oral and written forms to various levels within the organizations
- Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy
