We have been in business for over 37 years, starting as specialty roofing provider for the luxury housing industry, and quickly transformed into a provider and installer of traditionally manufactured building products. Following this, becoming a specialist in heritage restoration was a natural progression providing clients with specialty trades in slate and cedar roofing, sheet metal, carpentry, and general contracting. Our company has completed projects across our country, in the United States, and provided expertise in Europe.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating project teams, liaising with clients, and implementing effective project management strategies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure all team members have read and understood project objectives, including project specifications/agreements and head contract requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Effectively communicate project status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Analyze and mitigate project risks and challenges.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety Acts / Construction Safety Act regulations applicable to the Province where the project is being executed.
  • Responsible for all financial requirements of the project, including revenue forecasting, billing, and approval of payments.
  • Mentor and inform all subordinates of processes and procedures.
  • Ensure total completion of the project, contractually and financially.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Certified Engineering Technologist, or PMP Certification.
  • 5+ years experience in an Ontario construction company at the PM level or above.
  • Proven track record of successful project management of significant building and public infrastructure restoration/renewal construction projects up to $2 Million.
  • Expertise and a proven track record concerning the continuous improvement of project delivery services and value-added construction processes and practices.
  • High proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to inspire trust in difficult situations by instilling confidence and engaging people on matters that affect them.
  • Ability to forge, grow, and maintain positive industry partner relationships.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
  • Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills to communicate with multiple levels: client/owner representative, construction site.
  • Possess a valid driver's license

 

Experience:

  • Gold Seal training
  • Bluebeam/AutoCAD 
  • Working at Heights and other construction related training/certificates are considered assets.
  • First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.
  • 3+ years of construction experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Building/Infrastructure Restoration in Canada
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (preferred)
  • Certified Architectural/construction or Architectural Technologist (preferred)

 

Salary:

  • $100K-$130K per year based on qualifications
